Trustee of Canterbury Broad Oak Friends, a charity that supported the work of Canterbury Environmental Education Centre until its closure.
Trustee of the Building Crafts and Conservation Trust, supporting the degree course at Canterbury Christchurch University.
Trustee of the Traditional Buildings Preservation Trust which aimed to restore the Archbishop’s Palace, Charing. In addition the Trust started the rebuilding of Yonsea Farm, a Georgian model farm, demolished to make way for the High Speed Railway in Kent, at the Rare Breeds Centre, Woodchurch.
Regular employer of skilled craftsmen during the restoration of our Tudor timber framed house. Frequent stays in Landmark Trust properties around the country, appreciating the aesthetic character of these once “at risk” buildings.
